ABOUT US

A doula provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. Unlike a midwife or OB-GYN, I do not provide medical care or perform clinical tasks. My role is to support you, helping you feel informed, confident, and cared for while your medical provider focuses on your and your baby’s health.

Many families hire a doula in the second trimester to allow time to build trust and prepare intentionally. However, it’s never “too  late.” Whether you are early in your pregnancy or nearing your due date, support can still be meaningful and beneficial.

I support hospital births, birth center births, and home births. My role remains the same in any setting: to help you feel grounded, informed, and supported while respecting the policies and practices of your chosen location.

I value collaborative care. I do not speak over providers or replace medical advice. Instead, I help you understand information, ask questions, and communicate your preferences clearly so you can make informed decisions with confidence.

During labor, I provide hands-on comfort measures (with consent), positioning suggestions, breathing support, emotional reassurance, and advocacy guidance. I remain present with you, helping create a calm and steady environment.

Partners are an essential part of the birth team. I offer guidance, encouragement, and practical suggestions so they feel confident and involved. I can step in when they need rest and help them stay connected to you throughout the process.
